The Raja Ampat Geopark area includes 4 main islands in Raja Ampat Regency:
The sea area between the large islands and the surrounding small islands is an integral part of the Raja Ampat Geopark.
Raja Ampat Geopark packs geopark sites (geosites) in several travel paths, which we call Geotrails, to give you the experience to know how Raja Ampat celebrates Earth's heritage in the form of unique natural and geological landscapes, its mega biodiversity and cultural diversity in our land and seas.
The karst archipelago on Earth's equator, as if scattered over the emerald waters, tells the story of the richness of this region, which is not only present, but began millions of years ago. The journey along the island of Kawe, ends in the north of the region in the Wayag Islands as special as the crown of Raja Ampat.
Providing a unique experience, travel along the shores of the island of Waigeo, as if flipping through a history book. Witness the deep sea outcrops on the surface, the unique volcanic rocks of old volcanoes, and how they are now being used. Until finally we waded through the calm waters and felt the mysterious comfortable atmosphere of Mayalibit Bay, which is full of myths.
The legend of Raja Ampat begins with the folklore of the egg stone in Kali Raja which will be passed. This trail presents an amazing nuance of the unique geology of Kabui Bay which is composed of Waigeo Island and Gam Island. Traverse the gaps of The Passage, and sail the seas to arrive at the most famous Karst islands, Piaynemo.
Continue your adventure by visiting each of geosite.
