3 SIMPLE STEPS TO RAJA AMPAT
STEP 1
Flight to Sorong
Search for flights to Doimine Eduard Osok Airport - Sorong (SOQ).
Direct flights to Sorong are available from:
- International and Domestic flights to Soekarno-Hatta Airport - Cengkareng/ Jakarta (CGK)
- Domestic flights to Sultan Hasanuddin Airport - Maros/ Makassar (UPG)
You can transit at one of these airports. The flight from Cengkareng to Sorong takes 4 h 30 m.
STEP 2
From Airport to Harbour
You will land in Sorong in the morning. From the airport, you can take local taxi/ airport transportation to Pelabuhan Rakyat Sorong and sail to Waisai - Raja Ampat.
Regular ferry schedule on Sundays:
- Morning (9:00 AM)
- Afternoon (2:00 PM)
Make sure you arrive at the port at least 1 hour before departure, as you will have to queue at the ticket counter.
STEP 3
Sail to Raja Ampat
The Sorong-Waisai crossing takes approximately 2-3 hours.
It is recommended to purchase a VIP ticket for greater comfort.

A. LOCAL TRANSPORT AT SORONG
There are two transportation options from DEO Airport to Sorong People's Port, namely:
- Airport Taxi (MVPcar type, like avanza/xenia/innova) : Rp 100.000,- - Rp 150.000,-
- Online Taxi* (using apps like, maxim/gojek/grab) : Rp 50.000,- - Rp 60.000,-
NOTES:
- It's best to have breakfast in Sorong City before sailing to Waisai. If using an airport taxi, you can ask the driver to wait a while.
- Online taxis are prohibited within the airport area, so you'll need to walk about 500 meters.
B. REGULAR FERRY FROM SORONG TO WAISAI
SORONG-WAISAI CROSSING SCHEDULE
Using the Regular Ferry - Belibis (Regular Ferry) is available daily:
On Sunday, there are two ferry schedules:
- Morning (9 AM)
- Afternoon (2 PM)
Monday - Saturday, only one ferry schedule:
- Afternoon (2 PM)
BELIBIS TICKET PRICE PER PERSON
- VIP : Rp 250.000,-
- EKONOMI : Rp 125.000,-
BOARDING PASS PRICE:
Rp 12.000,- / TICKET
NOTES:
- It's best to arrive at the harbor one hour before departure, as you'll have to queue at the ticket counter.
- It's recommended to choose the VIP option for convenience.
- Boarding passes must be purchased at the harbor for each person, at a separate counter.
C. TRANSPORTASI LOKAL WAISAI
Local transportation in Waisai includes rental cars, which are easily available at the harbor. One-way fares are as follows:
- Port of Waisai to around Waisai City : Rp 100.000,- up to Rp 150.000,-
- Port of Waisai to around Resort Resort / Saporkren : Rp 150.000,- up to Rp 200.000,'
