Polymict breccias found in Yenanas Village on eastern part of Batanta Island, at coordinates 00^o50,168’S and 130^o53,313’E, are outcrops of channel deposits cutting

layers of pebbly sandstones of about 7 m thick. This outcrop represents the Quaternary sediments of the Marchesa Formation, which formed in a terrestrial environment (braided stream). This geological heritage site is also included in the category or criteria for regionally valuable geological sites in West Papua and has good value in scientific and educational aspects, so it is very suitable as a natural laboratory to be studied and researched so that it will be useful for future generations.
