Reef limestones with calcarenites intercalation east of Batanta Island (coordinates 00^o47,825’ and 130^o55,297’E) and containing Quaternary coral fossils are uplifted about 3 m asl. This phenomenon is caused by tectonic activity that is still active in this area. This geological heritage site is also included in the category or criteria for regionally valuable geological sites in West Papua and has good value in scientific and educational aspects, so it is very suitable as a natural laboratory to be studied and researched so that it will be useful for future generations.
