Geology
Volcanic rocks exposed in Mayalibit Bay are part of the Rumai Formation. The lithology is composed of volcanic breccias, and is exposed locally along the bay. This unit is unconformably overlain by limestones of the Waigeo Formation.
Batuan gunung api tua yang tersingkap di Teluk Mayalibit ini merupakan anggota dari Formasi Rumai. Litologinya disusun oleh breksi gunung api, dan tersebar merata di sepanjang Teluk Mayalibit dimana proses terbentuknya diperkirakan ditindih tak selaras oleh Batu gamping Formasi Waigeo.
